Now You Never Have to Game Alone

Now You Never Have to Game Alone

You know those slow nights where you're trying to raid a space camp or take siege on a small village, but none of your friends are online to back you up? That really sucks. But now you don't have to go it alone. GameLink is a new app that is still in it's beta phase. It allows you to add games from your PC, Playstation, Xbox, Steam, or other gaming library to your GamerLink account. You can then send out "beacons" to others with the same games to come and play with you. Here's how it works:

1. Download the GamerLink Beta App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store:

2. Click on the GamerLink app from your home screen:

3. After you open the GamerLink app chose the gaming platform and games you'd like to add:

4. To add games, click on the respective platform and search for a game:

5. Add your selected games to your library:

6. You can also connect your gaming and social media accounts to GamerLink:

7. After you’ve added your games and connected your gaming accounts, you may click on the "Beacons" tab to either answer someone’s beacon or send out your own. To send out your own beacon, press the beacon icon located at the bottom right corner of your screen. Choose a game and platform, write a short message with or without tags, and send out an alert for others to join you in multi-player fun.

And that’s it! Now you’re gaming with new people. And now you can invade that intergalactic space camp and raid all the plasma guns you want.

GamerLink also allows players to filter out those who do or don’t use mics. You can tag mic, no mic, talkative, silent, experienced, casual, no swearing, laid back, competitive, etc. You get to choose the perfect gaming companion with your own specifications. GamerLink is still in it’s beta phase and it still has quite a few bugs that need to be worked out. Not to mention the gaming library options are somewhat limited to the newer game releases only, though you do have the option to request for games to be added. All in all, it is a pretty decent app that I can see a lot of potential in!
